Abstract
-
Aeronavali’s head office and main plant, situated at Venice International Airport, consist of 52,5 acres and cover 395.000 square feet of hangars and workshops.
The two hangars can accommodate up to three wide-body aircraft under cargo modification, plus a bay dedicated to painting.
Together with the Naples Capodichino facilities, Aeronavali is capable of offering the entire spectrum of airframe maintenance and overhaul, on narrow and wide-body aircraft, according to its FAA and JAA certificate, which includes light and heavy checks, corrosion treatment and control, cabin configuration, conversion and refurbishment, fuel tank resealing and complete aircraft stripping and repainting.
The DC-10 modification programme has been derived from over 25 years of collaboration between McDonnell Douglas and Alenia, on several commercial aircraft programmes, such as DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, MD-80, MD-90 and MD-11.
