This short text was used in the Nienties to describe the Hangar C of Venice-Tessera:

"The Aeronavali Hangar

The new hangar of Aeronavali, inaugurated in 1991 is a metal structure consisting of two bodies respectively measuring:
113.80 X 32.00 meters , 26.50 meters height
113.80 X 36.60 meters , 19.50 meters height
The structure has a covered area of 7,800 sq.m. and is composed of two body holsters 133.80 meters long, weighing 500 tons.
The hangar, which was built in 9 months, can accomodate aircraft of the size of a DC-10 or B747.

The hangar was awarded a certificate by ACAI (Collegio Tecnici dell' Acciaio / Steel Engineer's board). The certificate is conferred every three years by the most prestigious steel engineers to metal structure having particular structural and architectural characteristics.

The hangar was designed by prof. Ing. Alfredo Gandolfi, and Arch. Giovanni Caprioglio, in close collaboration with the Aeronavali management.
Prof. Gandolfi was already awarded the ACAI certificate during the previous congress of steel engineers, for the design of the hangar for Alenia's Capodichino Nord plant."
